About my Springer Softail

This bike started off as a 1997 Springer Soft tail that a guy by the name of Detroit Don bought for $5600.  He bought the bike with the intention of turning it into a cool looking little bobber. After Detroit Don stripped off all the sheet metal he contacted Kickstand of Hellraisers Fabrication & Cycles.  The two of them got together to conspire to turn this stock springer into an ol'school bobber.
Kickstand began by stripping the wire and cut off the stock tank mounts and rear fender.  At this time he took an aftermarket King Sport tank and modified it with a fuel gauge. relocated the pet fuel *** to the bottom outside, then pressure checked it and then mounted it to the frame.  Next he built the battery and electronics cover that the solo spring seat mounts to.  Next he mounted the rear fender to the swing arm and made a custom sissy bar that the taillight and license plate are mounted to.  Then he added small chrome LED bullet turn signals to the front and rear.  Then he put 16 inch chrome ape hangers on it and mounted the horn on the front of the springs on the front end.  Then he powder coated the tank and the rear fender and a few other parts.  In the end Mr. Detroit Don ended up with a bad ass ol'school flat black bobber!!
