I built this bike after looking at custom bikes at the 2008 Bikes, blues and bbq. I decided I needed to try my hand at building a custom. I fabricated the frame, front end, fuel tank, battery box, electrical box, fender struts, pegs and pedals, kickstand, and many other bits and pieces. The headlight is an old military spotlight, the taillight is from an old bicycle, the rear fender is from my first Harley, the handlegrips are made of purple heart wood. The "purple pain" name came after riding a few miles on the antique bicycle seat. I have another name for it in a youtube video found under jan sallings.I did all machining, welding, bending, and engine work. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?
