About my FLTR Road Glide

1980 flt,1st year rubber mount,5-speed tranny,new computer designed frame,(musta been ok cuz front crash bar is off neighbor's '03 electraglide with NO alterations! lowered 1.75"/'56 chevy colors,stock exhaust(factory quiet shovelhead). this summer did one 275 mi. fundraiser for children'pku foundation and one 405 mi. for gillette children's hospital.    this is a daily driver,1st generation road king/glide.

Hats off to you and your flt, but I must admit the road king reference is inaccurate. The first years of of the flt was the prototype design released for the first of the TOURING movement. In 1981 It was released in two models the FLT/ FLTC. I have a 1981 fltc with was also known as "THE KING OF THE HIGHWAY" which may lend credit to the Road king reference. Mine too used to be a daily driver until I made it a one off and stripped it down to its bare essence. These bikes are beautiful stripped down.
